Maybe You're Not Lost

Maybe you are not lost.
Maybe the life you knew simply stopped feeling like yours, and the life that is coming hasn't introduced itself yet.
That space can feel strangely quiet.
You look around and wonder what happened to the version of you who used to know exactly what she wanted. You wonder why the things that once made sense suddenly don't. You wonder why you can't seem to find your direction when everyone else appears to be moving somewhere.
But there is another way to look at it.
Maybe you're between versions of yourself.
There are seasons when we outgrow things before we understand what we're growing toward.
A routine stops working. A relationship changes. A dream no longer feels exciting. A place that once felt like home suddenly feels too small.
It can look like confusion from the outside.
But sometimes confusion is simply the space between an old version of you and a new one.
You don't have to rush the in-between.
We are so used to wanting answers quickly.
What's next? What should I do? Where am I going? Who am I becoming?
But not every season is asking you for an answer.
Some seasons are asking you to notice.
Notice what you have stopped wanting.
Notice what suddenly matters more.
Notice what feels lighter.
Notice what makes you curious again.
Notice the little parts of yourself that are quietly coming back.
You don't have to turn every clue into a five-year plan.
You are allowed to change.
Maybe the woman you were a few years ago wanted completely different things.
That's okay.
You are not supposed to remain perfectly loyal to every old dream simply because you once wanted it.
You are allowed to outgrow your own expectations.
You are allowed to say, “This isn't me anymore.”
You are allowed to want something you never thought you would want.
You are allowed to become unfamiliar to people who only knew an earlier version of you.
Changing doesn't mean you lost yourself.
Sometimes it means you're finally listening to yourself.
Maybe there is nothing wrong with you.
Maybe you don't need to find yourself.
Maybe you need to give yourself enough space to notice who you are now.
Not who you were supposed to be.
Not who everyone expected you to become.
Not who you thought you had to be to make your life look successful from the outside.
Just you.
The woman who likes different things now.
The woman who wants more of some things and less of others.
The woman who is still figuring it out.
Let the next version of you arrive naturally.
You don't have to force a new identity.
You don't have to reinvent your entire life overnight.
Start smaller.
Wear what feels like you.
Go somewhere that makes you curious.
Say yes to something you genuinely want.
Say no to something you no longer have the energy for.
Make space for the things that feel alive.
Let the rest become quieter.
There is no deadline for becoming yourself again.
You're not lost. You're listening.
And maybe that is why everything feels a little uncertain right now.
You are listening more carefully.
You are noticing what doesn't fit.
You are becoming less willing to live on autopilot.
That isn't being lost.
That's being awake.
So if you are somewhere between who you were and who you're becoming, take a breath.
You don't have to know the whole way.
You only need to notice the next thing that feels like you.
Maybe you're not lost.
Maybe you're simply between versions of yourself. ♡
