Woman watching the Mediterranean sunset — Montell Notes

You Don't Need To Have It All Figured Out.

Maybe you’re waiting for the moment when everything finally makes sense.

When you know what you’re doing. Where you’re going. Who you’re becoming. When the plan feels clear enough to follow and the next chapter looks a little less blurry.

But life rarely gives us that kind of neat beginning.

Sometimes you know what you no longer want long before you know what you want instead. Sometimes you outgrow a version of your life without having the next one ready. Sometimes you simply wake up and realize that the old map doesn’t really belong to you anymore.

You are not behind.

You don’t have to turn every unanswered question into a project.

You don’t need a five-year plan for a life that is still changing. You don’t need to know exactly what your next chapter looks like before you’re allowed to enjoy the page you’re on.

There is something beautiful about being in the middle of becoming.

You can notice what feels good. What feels wrong. What keeps making you smile. What makes you feel more like yourself. You can follow the tiny clues without demanding that they immediately become a destination.

Pay attention to the little things.

Maybe you keep thinking about a place you want to visit.

Maybe you suddenly want to wear red again.

Maybe there’s a song you keep playing because something about it feels like you.

Maybe you miss creating things just for the pleasure of creating them.

Maybe you want slower mornings. Bigger dreams. Better conversations. More sunlight. Less pretending.

These things may look small.

They aren’t.

Sometimes the life you want doesn’t arrive as one huge revelation. Sometimes it leaves little notes everywhere — and you only have to start noticing.

You can figure it out as you go.

There is no prize for having everything figured out first.

You are allowed to change your mind. To try something and discover it isn’t for you. To want more. To want less. To take a different road simply because it feels more like yours.

So if you’re somewhere between what was and what’s next, don’t rush to name the whole thing.

Look around.

Notice what lights you up.

Notice what feels peaceful.

Notice what you keep coming back to.

There might already be a little direction hiding there.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to stay close enough to yourself to notice what comes next.
